My name is Danny, and I represent an international prog metal project called Gravity Rain. I discovered Davide on YouTube with his absolutely beautiful rendition of Sonata Arctica song because at that time I needed a keyboard player to do a full band Sonata cover. So, I messaged him directly about this, and to my fortune he appeared to be a very responsive and friendly person. So, we did some music together, and I liked his work so much that he ended up as a keyboardist composing and performing all his parts for my new 5-tracker EP. Finite le registrazioni del nuovo disco "Apocryphal Diary" abbiamo sentito la necessità di arricchire qualche canzone con degli arrangiamenti di tastiera dedicati alla causa. Abbiamo così premuto il piede sull'acceleratore e ci siamo rivolti a Davide Scuteri (io lo chiamo Scooterone - mi fa venire in mente la mia giovinezza, quando si andava a scuola con lo Scooter, gli zarri con la Buffalo e la felpa della Walls arancione odiavano i metallari coi capelli lunghi e il chiodo indossato anche in estate). Il lavoro è stato svolto così come i canoni della modernità impongono: incidi, invia, ascolta, mi piace, non mi piace, io lo farei un pò più così e un pò meno cosà, un pò più alto il piano, un pò meno le tastiere, gli abbellimenti sono troppo belli - suonaceli un pò più brutti (scherzo) - e via dicendo. Tutto è stato agile, oggi si direbbe "smart": siamo condannati agli inglesismi. Anche in passato, in corrispondenza del primo disco "Colostrum", avevamo richiesto l'aiuto di Scooterone per degli innesti a sprazzi con svolazzate tra tasti bianchi e neri. Cos'altro dovrei aggiungere se non solo che, pur non essendo un grande fan delle tastiere, mi rivolgo a Davide perché so di affidarmi, oltre che ad una bravissima persona in senso umano, ad un professionista che, in tempi rapidi, soddisfa sempre le necessità dei suoi clienti ponendo sempre al primo posto la professionalità. E volete sapere alla fine com'è andata? Che l'ho invitato a mangiare gli spaghetti aglio e olio a casa mia e gli fatto conoscere la mia famiglia, bambini compresi (la mie gioie).

Perché rivolgerti a Davide Scuteri? Perché è un ottimo musicista, un bravissimo arrangiatore e una bellissima persona. Se hai dei brani nel cassetto e vuoi dar loro un tocco professionale e originale affidali a Davide e vedrai che ne esce fuori una bella roba! E parlo per esperienza personale: avevo da parte un po’ di materiale scritto nel corso del tempo e volevo pubblicarlo ma sentivo che mancava una pennellata di tastiera, così ho deciso di avvalermi dell’aiuto di Davide, lasciandogli mano libera. Lo conosco da anni ed essendo conscio delle sue capacità mi sono affidato a lui ad occhi chiusi. Il risultato è andato oltre le aspettative e invece di avere semplicemente delle canzoni con l’aggiunta di un po’ di tastiere, mi sono ritrovato con dei pezzi arricchiti, con la proverbiale marcia in più ma rispettando in pieno l’idea originale. Insomma, un contributo al sound finale eccellente e convincente. Per questo, non ho voluto semplicemente aggiungere Davide nei credit del futuro disco degli Augmented R3ality, con cui saranno pubblicati queste canzoni, ma l’ho voluto nella formazione in maniera ufficiale. Di certo è in grado di seguire ed eseguire il lavoro secondo la tua idea ma credo che il vero valore aggiunto nel rivolgerti a lui sia la possibilità di contare sul suo gusto e sulla sua esperienza per far fare il salto di qualità alle tue composizioni.

Credo di non aver mai lavorato a questa velocità a dei brani così complessi. Davide è un compositore molto disponibile che sa ascoltare il cliente e capire esattamente quello che desidera. Ho voluto provarlo perché per caso ho ascoltato il suo album Ravenword e ho capito che i suoni e le orchestre ascoltate in quell'album in particolare avevano suoni e struttura che stavo cercando. Già dal primo pezzo nonostante io avessi inventato di sana pianta solo il ritornello Davide è stato in grado di eseguire esattamente la mia idea di canzone metal sinfonica senza esagerare , senza strafare. Ho capito che aveva una passione per i gruppi già esistenti Within temptation, Nightwish , kamelot ..e l'ho sentito da come suonava . Tutti gli altri brani sono venuti molto naturalmente ..talmente veloci che mi
